Dare to Share

Roxbury Dream Campaign

Looking to start or expand your small business? Is your business still suffering from the aftermath of Irene and Lee? Thinking there may be an opportunity to develop a new business based on agriculture in the region? All of these questions will help guide the conversation at the Greater Roxbury Business Association (GRBA) monthly business mixer and networking event Tuesday, April 29 at 5:30 p.m., at The Orphic Gallery on the Corner of Main and Bridge Street in Roxbury. The ever popular Dare to Share - Roxbury Dream Campaign will continue with new dreamers and new ideas, and will introduce a panel of representatives from various Economic Development organizations and agencies to discuss funding availability and options. Small projects, large development, tourism, retail -- anything goes.

Each month, the Dare to Share – Roxbury Dream Campaign features people with great ideas and dreams of becoming entrepreneurs as well as established business leaders in an attempt to inspire others to do the same. On April 29, GRBA will open the program with anyone who wants to share their dreams or their soon to be realities, and allow the more experienced to help

you figure out how to get your business from your garage to Main Street. The program will continue with the panel giving a brief overview of available programs followed by an open panel discussion and Q & A. The panel will include Peg Ellsworth, Executive Director, MARK Project and Southern Tier Regional Council Member; Barbara Puglisi, Director of Economic Development, Catskill Watershed Corporation; Lori Paulson, Program Administrator, Delaware County Economic Development; Glenn Nealis, Director, Delaware County Economic Development. This is an opportunity to engage and connect with the business Community, and find answers to your questions.

Light refreshments and adult beverages will be available. The event is free and open to the public - you do not have to be a member to attend. A suggested donation of $10 will help GRBA advance its mission to continue to foster economic development opportunities in Roxbury.

“This is a stimulating and promising time for Roxbury,” says Peg Ellsworth, Roxbury resident and Director of the MARK Project. She adds, “There is a resurgence of business activity and investment on our Main Street which is working in coordination with more rooted commerce and community assets such as The Roxbury and RAG.”
